Unique situations ask for expert advice
We advise works councils on issues that you don’t deal with on a daily basis. For example; takeovers, reorganisations and works council elections. Expert external advice is more than welcome. Our working method is always practical and solution-oriented. Contact us to discuss how we can assist your works council in these unique situations.
What issues can we help you with?
- Sale of (parts of) the organisation
- Requests for advice, substantive and strategic
- Stakeholder management (sister ORs, European management, SB, SB, trade unions, etc.)
- Professionaising OR, working on a proactive and result-oriented council that visibly generates added value
- OR elections
- Acting politically and strategically (lobby and negotiations) in developments
The above situations involve complex processes. For example, the role of the works council in the project planning must be clarified and many internal and external parties play a role. How does the works council deal with this? But also: what is involved in thorough research? And when is the works council obliged to give advice and in which areas is it obliged to give its consent? And how do you deal with confidentiality? Our specialists have already done this and can provide you with expert advice.
Increasing knowledge and skills
We provide practice-oriented training for works councils. Training on pure knowledge (think of the Works Councils Act, WOR in Dutch) and skills (for example, how to be in a stronger position when entering into negotiations?). The most common training courses are listed here. Do you have a specific question? Please let us know.
Assisting with the implementation in practice
Coaching plays a very important role in the process from ‘good to better’. Reflection and feedback enable larger developments. Focus on the triangle of skills, ambition and content will actually bring about sustainable change.
